A single ray of sunshine appeared and disappeared in a nanosecond this morning just enough time for me to capture this shot of the first primroses! These delightful custard-coloured flowers grow wild all over the UK and appear in the early spring right after the snow drops, daffodils and crocuses (in that order). Spring is taking its own sweet time this year but a lesson in patience is a good thing nonetheless.
