Ramsons - Wild Garlic (very edible and very delicious), poking its spring head out:. Ramsons are nearly always ready to eat in April and they are easy to find in the woods by their pungent smell. Eat raw with a splash of olive oil and vinegar:

Daffs warm my chilled heart early in the morning and I have grown accustomed to their 'face' every spring. The daffs' sunny disposition is welcome on those mornings when the hound and I are frozen solid.
